Wow, just discovered this nest. Does this one surpass even the all time trashy....er, "decorated" nest winner at Woods Hole one year? Beautiful cam anyway.  Thanks Sherri.

Hi midcoast ------ this nest surely is one at the top of the list for trash!  lollol
Glad you found it --- thinking it will be fun to watch when the eggs hatch.

9:55  Cam zoomed in tight ---- they still have it close, hopefully for the remaining hatching.
I'm still not seeing evidence of a second chick or a fourth egg.  puzzled2

Sherri, I've been checking (and listening) frequently today - sounds like a lot of intruders around.
(I've noticed a lot of intruders hanging around a lot of nests... maybe the 'floaters' and/or late-comers (2 year olds)).

I saw Dad bring Mom a Big fish... didn't watch long, but did see that Mom didn't take the fish and leave to eat.  She ate it as she was brooding, and Dad sat on the back perch like he was waiting for her.  So Sweet!
No sign yet of another pip.

Bonnie, not sure if this was the fish you saw brought in.
Male brought in and female (seemingly) took a couple bites then incubated.  I didn’t think she fed the little one but a friend sent me a vid showing that she gave a couple bites (but not sure if it was the same fish delivery). My snipping tool is very slow so I may have missed something while waiting for it to process.

5:42 PM

Click for slideshow  -- 5:42 Male brought fish.

Female very fidgety – I didn’t see her feed the chick. Fortunately the black plastic is out!
This nest is one heck of a mess!

The last three pictures are at 6:23 – female left and came back right away.

7:20  Male brought another fish
Thank goodness she fed the wee one a decent amount --- at least enough to keep him going!  love

I don't quite know yet what to think about these parents --- male seems to know he has to bring fish to provide for family.  Is female
young? possibly as we don't have a history on the nest.  Hopefully it will all improve with the next hatching.
I still can't find a fourth egg and there surely doesn't seem to be a second chick.
