Drat - I'm so sorry to hear that.  Any idea why?  I see an adult on the nest.

Added - I found a Facebook group, and it sounds as if the little one may have used all its energy hatching, and didn't have enough reserves for what comes after.

Rest in peace, young one.

well, the remaining egg is still in the bowl and George and Martha have continued to incubate it.
I guess they keep having intruder issues now .... here's a video from this morning of poor George getting attacked.

I think the Youtube link has changed this year.  Cam is up and running.

Can someone fix the link on page one?

From Eagleholic (TwizzKid):

The camera at the RF nest shifted a few days ago and was showing less of the nest, but this afternoon, a gust of wind got hold of it and moved it again significantly.  There is some concern with all the current movement of the camera, that the camera is dangling and could be a danger to the eagle family – although I haven’t seen confirmation that the cam is truly dangling.  The operators of the cam are aware and evaluating what they can do.  Here is what they posted on the RF chat “We are working on figuring what if any options we have to resolve our camera issue. Our primary concern is with the safety of the eagles and eaglets. I will provide updates as they are available.”  Link to cam: https://www.youtube.com/user/riverfarmeaglecam/live

Aawwww geeezzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!   rant2  The wind has picked up horrible on the East coast today and will continue through the night.  I just hope the camera isn't in danger of falling on the nest.  Sad
