As was discussed in a couple of posts that were moved, the new egg was at Delta 3 (though I think the Delta 2 pair is getting close - and there's more activity at Harrison Mills than is usual so early in the season - so who knows!).

We now have a new thread for Delta 3 - http://www.window-on-wildlife.com/index.php?topic=322.0

And we are wishing for the best at all the HWF nests - and at all the nests!  bigsmile

Wet day at the nest!  But feathers are waterproof, so this eagle isn’t cold.

This video clip has been edited for brevity.

A beautiful sub-adult (4 1/2 - 5 year old, per a 'pro!) eagle visited the nest area twice (!) today.  The resident eagles were not at the nest - but may have been nearby - regardless, the eagle was not chased away.  Here's a video of the second visit:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJL015h2Mvo
More details about this great (man-made!) nest can be found on the Hancock forum:  http://www.hancockwildlife.org/forum/index.php?forum=65

Adorable video posted today... Mom & Pa had a little spat about stick placement.  Very windy today, mom lost her balance a bit toward the end of video.
(Note:  Mom laid eggs last year on 3-10 and 3-13.)

(Thanks to Sydney Rowe for video on YouTube.)
