Last year we started a poll on 14th May, so we're right on schedule with our ideas again this year and very fortunate to have two eaglets again to name. Let's hope this time both survive to fledge safely.

We thought we would do the same again this year. This is all to be meant in a light-hearted way for naming the chicks on our forum. They would be 'unofficial names' of course.

We have two eaglets so we would need your suggestions for both. These would then be entered into two polls in which you would then be able to choose two names each. The names with the most votes would then be given to the chicks.

Add all your suggestions here and then we will amalgamate them into a poll and set it up for a vote.

At the moment we are referring to the eldest as #1 and the second as #2.

This vote is open to existing members as of 6th May, 2013 only and limited to one suggestion each for each eaglet, i.e.,

#1 - suggested name
#2 - suggested name

I'm going to add names here as they come in and then make 2 polls later so we can all vote. Do we want to run the poll for one week, longer or shorter?

I will let this discussion run until Sunday and then open the Poll and let that run for 3 days. You can change your mind if you wish up until Sunday, but once the Poll is set up, then I won't be able to make amendments.

Thank you, Laura.  One week seems like a reasonable length of time.

#1 should be Spirit - The "Spirit" that we give this nest each and everyday nod2
#2 should be Hope - The "Hope" we have for this eaglet to survive unlike #2 from last year.  nod2

Lovely to see these ideas coming forward. I just wanted to point out that we should confine our suggestions to one name for #1 and one name for #2 eaglets or it could get confusing. I don't mind if people discuss names, but they must make it clear which names they wish to submit.  love Shoe, do you want to pick one each for your two suggestions?

Thanks shoebutton, my fault, I wasn't clear to begin with..  blush2 Do bear in mind that you can change your mind right up until the last day, which I think will be Sunday, then we will have a poll which will run for 3 days.

Won't be changing my mind, Laurad but thanks for saying that someone can.  Have a great day.
