Pandas currently at San Diego Zoo:

Bai Yun "White Cloud"
Born September 7, 1991, Wolong China
2012 Weight: 255 pounds
Female
Bai Yun has given birth to five cubs: Hua Mei, Mei Sheng, Su Lin, Zhen Zhen,  Yun Zi, and a new cub  born July 29, 2012. Bai Yun came to the San Diego Zoo on September 10, 1996.

Gao Gao "Big Big"
Born: Estimated 1990 in the wild
2012 Weight: 175 pounds
Male
An injured young Gao Gao was found in the wild dehydrated and with the left side of his head bloody where nearly two-thirds of his ear had been torn away. He was taken to China’s nearby Fengtongzhai Nature Reserve and nursed back to health. He came to the San Diego Zoo on January 15, 2003. Gao Gao is the father of Mei Sheng, Su Lin, Zhen Zhen, Yun Zi, and a brand new cub.

Yun Zi "Son of Cloud"
Born August 5, 2009, San Diego Zoo
Weight at 2 3/4 years: 180 pounds
Male
The fifth cub born to mother Bai Yun and the fourth offspring of his father, Gao Gao, he now surpasses his father in weight.

Xiao Liwu "Little Gift"
Born July 29, 2012, San Diego Zoo
Male

Panda cubs born at the Zoo now living in China:

Hua Mei "China USA"
Born August 21, 1999, San Diego Zoo
Moved to China February 2004
Female
Hua Mei’s parents are Bai Yun and Shi Shi. She went to China in 2004. Since then  Hua Mei has given birth to 9 cubs! (The most recent birth on August 5, 2012.) She resides at Bifengxia panda reserve.

Mei Sheng "Born in the USA or Beautiful Life"
Born: August 19, 2003, San Diego Zoo
Moved to China November 2007
Male
Mei Sheng is the second cub to be born at the San Diego Zoo. His mother is Bai Yun and his father is Gao Gao. Mei Sheng moved to China at age four to be part of the giant panda breeding program.

Su Lin "A Little Bit of Something Very Cute"
Born: August 2, 2005, San Diego Zoo
Moved to China: September 2010
Female
Su Lin is the third panda to be born at the San Diego Zoo. Her parents are Bai Yun and Gao Gao. At age five, Su Lin moved to the Wolong Nature Reserve Giant Panda Bi Feng Xia Base in Sichuan, China. In 2011, she bred with a wild-born male and soon after was moved to a semi-wild enclosure. On July 7, 2011, Su Lin gave birth to her first cub! She and her cub were returned to the base in October 2011.

Zhen Zhen "Precious"
Born: August 3, 2007, San Diego Zoo
Moved to China: September 2010
Female
Zhen Zhen is the fourth panda to be born at the San Diego Zoo. Her parents are Bai Yun and Gao Gao. She moved to the Wolong Nature Reserve Giant Panda Bi Feng Xia Base in Sichuan, China, at the same time as her older sister, Su Lin.

Former panda resident at the Zoo:

Shi Shi "Rock"
Born: Estimated 1970s, in the wild
Resided at San Diego Zoo 1996–2003
Died: July 5, 2008, Guangzhou Zoo
Shi Shi was born in the wild in China's Sichuan Province. In March 1992, he was critically wounded, probably from a fight with another male panda. He was rescued and taken to the Wolong Giant Panda Research Center. Because of his injuries, he was not able to be returned to the wild. Shi Shi came to the San Diego Zoo as part of a research loan in September 1996. Shi Shi fathered Hua Mei through artificial insemination. He returned to China in 2003, where he lived out his final years at the Guangzhou Zoo, passing away on July 5, 2008.

Giant Panda Birth!
On Sunday, July 29 at a little after 11 a.m. PST, the giant panda team at the San Diego Zoo observed signs of labor in Bai Yun. Researchers watching the Zoo’s closed-circuit camera inside the birthing den estimate that she delivered a cub at 2:10 p.m. This birth makes Bai Yun, at 20 years old, one of the oldest giant pandas known to give birth to a cub. This is also the sixth cub born at the San Diego Zoo, the most born at a breeding facility outside of China. All six giant panda cubs born in San Diego have been born to Bai Yun.

Today Bai Yun left the den for a few seconds to get something to drink - and the Zoo got a good peek at the cub before she came right back and cuddled it.
