I just looked back to 2016 and the first egg was on 24th January. They are very late this year. I have noticed they spend more time on the Osprey nest.

I still have my program that captures all the 15-second images - I don't keep it running all the time, but when I think there's activity I activate it. It records every image from the eagle nest and the osprey nest all day long and I can review them at my leisure later on.

Patti, thank you for all the calendar updates, you have been amazing keeping them all up to date and it's amazing to be able to scroll back over the years when we want to catch up and remember data.

The eagles haven't been hanging around so much these days - although I stopped checking 20 times a day.   rolleyes2

I guess they're not going to lay eggs this year.  An Osprey was spotted at the refuge today.

dunno I haven't checked in too much either, but will try to do so. They should have been laying by now, I think?

I posted on the Blackwater Osprey thread, but wanted to mention here that an eagle spent over 2 hours perched on the right side of the Osprey nest today from about 07:21. There were a few short visits to the Eagle, too, but probably only as a feeding platform.

Update 11/19/17

Hello all! We've successfully moved our website to a new web host, since our old one crashed and they don't seem able to restore service. The Osprey Cam is temporarily down because we need to change the cam settings to point to the new server, and that might take a few days due to scheduling. Also, we're trying to schedule Craig Koppie of the USFWS to climb the Eagle Cam tree and attach a new camera (the old one died) and check to see if the eagle pair have been tending to the nest for the new season. Thanks for your patience!

Thank you for bringing the update here, Patti. Hopefully we will have some good news about their servers and webcams soon. Also, will the eagles be nesting in the same place again for another season?

I asked Lisa about the cam nest and she said there has not been any activity there.  I asked if they've built a new nest but she didn't know.
