Afternoon everyone  bigsmile

Been really busy and am only able to get here now to give 'the news'!
We have a third chick that hatched around 11:10 AM!

There was a lot of issues with the cam this morning and we were pretty much out.  I sent an email to appropriate people and
thankfully, they had it fixed right away!........so, if anyone reads here, thank you!

Here are a few pictures........

11:10

Still half in shell.....  love

Annie has been doing a good job keeping them shaded  love ... and Kidd has been watching over them. love
So glad the heat wave broke and it isn't as bad today........nice light breeze

12:42 PM

Kidd just left --- perhaps to get a fish.   I'll be out for a while.

Good Morning,

Great news and pics of #3 entering the world Sherri, Thanks!!

I just tried to get a look while on coffee break and got a quick look of the kids B4 the cam went black on me. Didn't see Annie or Kidd but does not mean they not there as they can be on a side perch by the camera.

ETA, took 1 more look B4 break was over and did see Annie covering them up : )

Afraid we have sad news here. The third chick is missing, presumably the
One that hatched yesterday. We don't know what happened.
I'm at center now for a while

 sosad

Darn....  I checked in early this morning.  The chicks were not covered - I saw no movement from #3 - but I thought it was me, not seeing a clear picture on my PC.  I did NOT take a picture (so sorry)... maybe s/he didn't make it through the night.
I've checked frequently today and haven't been able to see anything but Annie brooding, i.e., no peek at the chicks. At one point(around noon), she was either food calling or warning an intruder (I think food calling; she didn't seem frantic).

Thanks Bonnie  flower ..... I got there shortly before 1:00 and, as I mentioned Annie in nest and Kidd on perch.  And that is where they
both stayed for nearly two hours!  Kidd finally slipped out of there to go fishing without my noticing.  Had LOTS of excitement though, which
you will see if you take a look at my on site photos!  shock shock Wow!

Hopefully all will go well for them ---- so far, so good as to the care of the two chicks.
